KARACHI: Maritime Security Agency (MSA) Friday arrested 11 Indian fishermen along with their three vessels, while fishing in Pakistani territorial waters.

The MSA had handed them over to the Docks police for an appropriate action.

The fishermen were produced before the judicial magistrate who handed them to the police on judicial custody.

Meanwhile, 50 Indian fishermen have been freed here from Landhi Jail. The freed fishermen were sent to Lahore form there would be handed over to Indian officials. The arrangements for carrying the fishermen to Wahga Border from Karachi were made by Ansar Burney Welfare Trust. Before setting free of the fishermen, a ceremony held at Landhi Jail, where Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Home Affair Waseem Akhtar was the chief Guest. He distributed gifts among the Indian fishermen.

After the release, the fishermen left to Lahore in vehicles of Ansar Burney Trust, form where they would go to India through Wagha Border. About 20 Indian fishermen were also freed from Lahore.

The volunteers of the Ansar Burney Trust and Vice Chairman Syed Sarim Burney are also accompanying them in their journey to Wahgah.

The Ansar Burney Trust also made arrangements of food, tea and others necessities for them on their journey to Wahgah from the city. The fishermen were also provided new clothes and shoes by the Trust.
