LAHORE: Human traffickers now smuggle pregnant women along with children to Middle East to use unborn babies as jockey kids and sex slave, Federal Investigation Agency officials said.
The officials said the women delivered babies who end up as jockey kids along with other children. They said rackets were employing this method by exploiting poor families in Southern Punjab after a strict checking by the FIA at all the country airports.
The officials said last Wednesday, the authorities had arrested a notorious trafficker Rasheed Ahmed who was traveling along with a pregnant lady and a child at Karachi airport. Rasheed Ahmed son of Yousuf was going to Dubai vis Muscat, where he planned to sell unborn child, child and the lady.
Rasheed was traveling on fake documents using Muhammad Naeem son of Abdul Kareem as his name along with a former jockey kid Nadeem and a pregnant lady Firdous. Rasheed was earlier arrested in 2004 and deported along with Nadeem. But he continued to smuggle children to UAE through an open border.
After the ban on children as camel jockeys in some countries, Rasheed started trafficking young girls to the Middle East for sex exploitation, said a senior FIA official. Rasheed was arrested after an information by human rights organisation Ansar Burney Trust.
