Mohammed bin Zayed invites Pak rights activist

DUBAI — Lt-Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chief of Staff the UAE Armed Forces, has invited Pakistan’s renowned human rights activist Ansar Burney advocate and his wife Shaheen Burney to the UAE as royal guests. Burney and his wife will arrive in the UAE today.

The office of the Deputy Crown Prince called Burney, Chairman of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International at London, and invited him to visit the UAE, said Burney’s representatives in the UAE.

Later, the Director of the Deputy Crown Prince's Court, Mubarak Al Dhaheri sent an invitation on behalf of the Deputy Crown Prince to Burney.

On behalf of Lt-Gen. Shaikh Mohammed "we would be more than pleased to receive and host you here in Abu Dhabi,” the director wrote in his letter.

Lt-Gen. Shaikh Mohammed will discuss international human rights issues, including Asian prisoners in the UAE prisons and other related issues with Burney during their meeting.
